In this week's (extraordinary) Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek reminds parents that Vivek and Milda's lessons will continue for one more week on all days with the exception of Wednesday. All other tutors have now completed their lessons for the academic year. Vivek asks parents to be cautious of the heatwave we find ourselves in but remind parents that all classrooms are fitted with air conditioning. This Wednesday, the office will be closed due to a staff training day but will be open as usual for the remainder of the week. Vivek reminds parents to book in their end-of-term parent report meetings with their children's tutors; these commence on Monday 18th July. Finally, Vivek reminds all parents that the extended priority registration deadline has now passed and places are being offered to students on our waiting lists.

At Trefoil Tutors, we are delighted to share the news that our office team is expanding! We are looking to fill three new roles that will support the work of our Leadership team and our tutors in order to continue offering our clients the highest level of services. We are looking for a part-time Registrar, a part-time Bursar and a full-time PA / Nanny to join us in August 2022.

As the deadline for Priority Registration has now passed, we are delighted to have registered over 200 students to our Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English, Reasoning, Science, Chemistry, Biology and Economics lessons for the Autumn Term.

We are now excited to offer the final available places to students who are on our waiting list as well as those who are getting in touch with us for the first time.

If you have missed the registration deadline but would still like to join our lessons in the upcoming academic year, we would be happy to check any remaining availability as places are now allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek thanks parents, students and staff for all their support, understanding and wishes regarding Amelia's injury and the rescheduled lessons. As we enter Week 12, Vivek informs parents that students will receive an assignment and an assessment back in this week with a strong focus on completing diligent corrections. Vivek reminds parents that the academic monitoring cycles after the last round of assessments will take place as usual, however, as this is the final cycle of the year, we will address these in our parent report meetings rather than by email. Vivek reminds parents that the registration deadline has been extended to Sunday 10th July and all unbooked places will be offered to students on our waiting lists from Monday, 11th July onwards.

We would like to thank the parents and students who attended our UCAS Advice Evening and Personal Statement Workshop on Sunday, the 3rd of July. It was a pleasure to see so many of you taking the initiative to prepare yourselves - both students and parents - for the exciting, albeit potentially daunting, journey to university!

We are delighted to announce that for the first time, this academic year, our students in Years 7-10 will have an Exam Week in English, Mathematics and Science.

Our Senior Tutor, Vivek Gathani, shares his advice with parents who are looking to find the right support for their children with the help of a tutor.

Vivek reminds parents that we have three roles currently being advertised to join our team. Vivek celebrates the final event of the 2021-2022 academic year which took place on Sunday the 3rd of July where we welcomed 24 parents and students to our UCAS Advice Evening and Personal Statement Workshop. Vivek also informs parents that bookings for the final parent report meetings of the year will open this week.

Our Director of Studies Rebecca introduces Exam Week for our Year 7-10 students and discusses how students should close off the academic year; organising their folders and streamlining the resources that they should keep for next academic year. Finally Rebecca introduces the Summer Projects that will be available at the end of term for students to enjoy over the summer holidays.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek emphasises the importance of the final four weeks of the academic year which will include assessments in Weeks 9 and 11. Vivek reminds parents of current students that the deadline for registering for lessons in the new academic year is Friday, 1st July. Vivek thanks our Weekday Receptionist Lucy for all her hard work over the last two weeks in organising two events. The second one of these took place yesterday - we were delighted to welcome 13 sets of parents to our 11+ Parents' Advice Evening, an event we aim to run three times a year. Finally, Vivek reminds all students to bring their water bottles to lessons in the coming weeks as summer temperatures soar.

Our Director of Studies Rebecca shares her recommendations of fun revision activities and techniques to break up the monotony of exam preparation - including blurting, recording voice memos, inventing mnemonics and defining the zone of relevance.
