Advice Evenings

UCAS Advice

At Trefoil Tutors, we believe that our commitment to providing exceptional educational services does not finish at the end of each lesson.

Our team of qualified teachers and experienced tutors are always happy to share their experience and advice with the parents of our students.

To give our students and parents as much support as possible, throughout the year, we organise Parents' Advice Evenings that are focused on the university applications process as well as specific advice on how to write a good personal statement.

This event is now open for booking!

About the event

The event will be led by our Senior Tutor Vivek Gathani. During his time teaching at Haberdashers', Vivek spent the last three years as a UCAS adviser for Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Management, and Accountancy and Finance. With a wealth of experience in this area, Vivek is uniquely placed to support students as they navigate this new educational challenge.

During the event, parents and students will attend a presentation offering an overview of the UCAS process and the key dates to look out for. Vivek will go on to lead a Personal Statement Workshop, where he will discuss how to structure a Personal Statement both in terms of content and language. Further to this, he will highlight the do’s and don't’s of personal statement writing and discuss common pitfalls. The afternoon will conclude with a Q&A session, where students and parents will be able to ask questions about the university application process.

The UCAS Advice Afternoon will be held at our premises on Saturday, the 25th of May starting at 3:30pm.

The presentation and workshop is scheduled to last 1 hour and 15 minutes and the ensuing question and answer session will last 15 minutes.
