Without doubt, both students and their parents will get to know Connor very well in the coming months as he will be the first port of call for your e-mail messages and phone enquiries.

At Trefoil Tutors, we value the importance of maintaining an ongoing conversation between parents, tutors and students as a key factor in maintaining tutee progress and development. As the Summer Term comes to an end, we would therefore like to invite parents to book a meeting to speak to your child’s tutor and discuss their progress throughout the academic year. These meetings will build on the personalised feedback the tutors upload to the online portal every week.

To book your meeting, please log in to the Parent Portal, click on Report Meetings and choose a convenient date and time to speak to your child's tutor.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek wishes students the very best of luck for assessment week. For our Year 7s, 8s, 9s and 10s, this will be an hour long end-of-year summative examination. Vivek reflects on a hugely productive term so far, where we have accomplished more of our targets in a shorter timeframe; allowing us to focus on ending the term strongly and putting our best foot forward for the assessments.

Rebecca, our Director of Studies talks parents and students through the structure of Exam Week as well as how students should prepare to close off for the academic year.

We would like to thank the parents who attended the Advice Afternoon on Saturday, 24th June - it was a pleasure seeing so many parents of our students gathered at Trefoil Tutors!

During the event, our Director and Lead Tutor of Mathematics, Vivek Gathani, our Director of Accounts and Lead Tutor of English, Milda Gathani, and our Director of Studies and Lead Tutor of Science and Reasoning, Rebecca Wolffe, shared their experience of supporting students in their 11+ preparations over the last decade.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek informs us that some schools will already be breaking up for the academic year. Schools will continue to do so over the next four weeks. At Trefoil, we have three teaching weeks remaining and it is important we make the most of this contact time. Vivek thanks the parents who came to the final event of the year on Saturday titled "11+ Advice Afternoon". Vivek introduces Connor Winter who joins the Office Team this week as our Administrative Assistant, Tharan Nimalraj who joins the Academic Team as our Academic Assistant and Kishan Ganatra who joins the Tutor Team full-time as our Teacher of English. Finally, Vivek reminds parents about the parking arrangements in Theobald Court.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek reminds parents that we have four very important and busy teaching weeks remaining. Two of these weeks will contain assessments. In Week 9, all students will be given a short, 20-minute assessment and in Week 11 all students will be given a longer assessment. For students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10, the assessment in Week 11 will be an hour-long end-of-year exam. Vivek reminds us all to make the most of these four weeks and that endeavours now will pay dividends next year. With registration in full flow, over 50% of the places for September have already been filled, with parents on our waitlist lists being called this week. Finally, Vivek reminds parents that the final event of the academic year will take place on Saturday 24th June where we will be hosting 20 parents for the 11+ Parents' Advice Afternoon.

As students are in the depth of revision our Director of Studies, Rebecca, discusses a variety of revision techniques that can break the monotony of independent revision. She hopes students try a few in preparation for their End of Year Exams!

In this week's Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek begins by reflecting on one of the busiest weeks of the year for the teaching and office teams with events and preparations for next academic year in full swing. Last Saturday saw us welcome over 20 participants for the annual 11+ reunion event. Saturday 24th June sees us hosting our final event of the academic year where we will be hosting our 11+ Parent' Advice Afternoon. Vivek reminds parents to kindly fill out the parent feedback form if they haven't done so already.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek welcomes everyone back to lessons for the final Half Term of the academic year. Vivek encourages us all to give this final six weeks the same energy and enthusiasm that we gave the first six weeks of the academic year. Vivek reminds tutees in Years 5 and 12 that they will be receiving new folders this week and further reminds all our tutees to remember the good routines we have established over the last 30 weeks. Vivek encourages students to attend lessons face-to-face as much as possible to keep up the regularity of their contact with their tutors. Finally, Vivek reminds tutees in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 that they should be well underway with preparations for Exam Week, which will take place in Week 11.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update Video, Vivek reminds parents and students that the office will be closed between Monday 29th May and Sunday 4th June (inclusive). Vivek wishes students a wonderful break although almost all year groups have been provided with revision material. Vivek celebrates the success of the UCAS and Personal Statement Workshop event that took place on Saturday 27th May, where over 30 participants were in attendance. Finally, Vivek informs all parents that they will be receiving an email in the coming week to ask for their feedback, so as to assist our planning for the next academic year.

With exam season on the horizon, Year 11 and Year 13 students are in the final stages of preparing for their GCSE and A Level examinations. This can be an incredibly stressful time for not only students but also their parents and it can often be challenging to strike the right balance between revision and respite in the coming weeks.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek celebrates the feeling that Summer has truly arrived and the positive effect this has on energy and morale. Vivek wishes all the students the best of luck with their revision for assessment week in Week 6, with particular focus on our Year 11 and Year 13 students who are sitting GCSE and A Level examinations.
