In this week's Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek highlights the importance of the next two weeks. Not only due to the high volume of content taught in Week 5, but also due to a number of factors taking place outside of the classroom. On Saturday, 27th May, we will be hosting our annual UCAS and Personal Statement Workshop for pupils in Year 12 and their parents. Vivek and Rebecca will be conducting their usual academic monitoring, with a focus on students in Year 5, Year 10 and Year 12. And, of course, we start bidding farewell to our Year 11s and Year 13s as they enter their final examinations.

We would like to wish the best of luck to all students who are sitting their GCSE and A Level examinations in the coming weeks!

We know you have worked incredibly hard preparing for your examinations. Now is the time to stay focused and remember the lessons learnt during your revision and practice.

Mental Health Awareness week commences today, with a focus on anxiety.

Anxiety is something we all experience from time-to-time - but it is important to remember you do not have to go through it alone. If you are finding things difficult, speaking to someone might help. A number of charities have dedicated helplines and are ready to offer you their ear and support.

We are delighted that students attending weekly lessons at Trefoil Tutors can use this towards the skills section of their Duke of Edinburgh Award! If you are pursuing Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver or Gold Awards, please do get in touch with your tutor and we'd be happy to complete this section for you.

The ceremony at Westminster Abbey will commence at 11am after the royals arrive in procession from Buckingham Palace.

Trefoil Tutors are delighted to share a vacancy for a part-time Tutor of Science to join our team in October 2023.

We are currently looking for an experienced Science tutor to teach six to eight small groups of up to six students. The tutor will specialise in teaching students from Year 7 to Year 13. A specialism in Biology or Chemistry would be ideal as the role offers the possibility to teach A Level Biology or Chemistry lessons.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in planning, teaching and evaluating outstanding Science lessons and have demonstrated a passion for their subject. FQT status and school teaching experience are preferred but not essential.

National Share-A-Story Month commences today. The Federation of Children’s Book Groups created this month-long celebration in 1998 to appreciate the power of storytelling and story sharing, which provides opportunities to bring children and stories together.

The theme for May 2023 is ‘Sail Away in a Story!’ where readers are encouraged to find books and stories that sail them to a new adventure.

With school strikes taking place across England today and tomorrow, we know that many students are spending the day at home and many parents are seeking high quality learning materials that would keep students engaged academically.

At Trefoil Tutors, we regularly prepare additional revision materials that are academically engaging and tailored to each year group's curriculum in Mathematics, English and Science for students between Year 3 and Year 13. We are delighted to share these free resources with you in order to help keep students engaged on a day when regular learning may not be taking place.
