Based on our extensive experiences both in and out of schools, preparing for GCSE examinations is most successful when students are able to gradually build an in-depth understanding of and interest in the subject over time. The focus on exam skills should take place in the final stages of their preparations. With this in mind, we invite students to join our GCSE programme in September of Year 9. This allows us to utilise Years 9 and 10 to focus on subject content and only then spend Year 11 troubleshooting the more challenging topics, experiencing Level 9 material, practising past papers and developing exam skills.
Joining lessons in Year 9 allows students to benefit from the full breadth of the GCSE course without the need to complete catch-up work.
