At Trefoil Tutors, we know that the educational experience extends far beyond the confines of an individual lesson. To help maintain engagement and avoid academic regression, our Lead Tutors Vivek, Milda and Rebecca have prepared a series of subject-specific projects for our students to complete over the Summer Holidays.
The deadline for submitting all projects is 12pm on Monday, the 15th of August. Projects can either be emailed to office@trefoiltutors.co.uk or handed into the office in person. Late submissions will not be accepted.
The student who produces the best project in each year group, as decided by each tutor, will be awarded with subject-themed prizes once they return to Trefoil Tutors in the new academic year.

“We have seen a huge improvement in Lakesha’s subject knowledge in Maths. Her confidence, for a start, has improved, as well as the way she answers questions, her attitude in class - being able to put her hand up and ask questions, but most importantly, her grades at school have improved and we noticed this within a few months of starting lessons at Trefoil.”

We are delighted to share with you the positive feedback contributed by the parents of students who have attended our group lessons and found these enjoyable and beneficial to their learning.
“Going through the 11+ process can be quite stressful for parents, especially if you haven’t had a child go through it beforehand, because you aren’t sure of what to do, how to do it, or what schools to apply for. There was a lot of guidance from Vivek and Milda with regards to 11+ preparation and which schools to choose. There was advice available when I needed it. They were able to tell me how my children were progressing through the subject matter, so it gave us confidence in knowing what choices to make in the 11+ journey. They involved the children in the decision-making process as well, so it was really useful.
There’s a wide variety of subjects involved in the 11+: English, Maths and Reasoning. Therefore there’s a lot of subject matter that you can use to help prepare your child. For me it was brilliant, especially when the results and the offers for interviews came out. The support didn’t just stop there either, it was ongoing, right through until the very end of the 11+ programme, which meant you felt fully supported throughout the entire journey.”

In this week's Senior tutor Update video, Vivek reminds parents and students of the importance of the final lesson of the academic year. Signing off the year properly and completing diligent corrections for the final assignment and assessment are essential to wrapping up the year properly. Vivek informs parents that he and Rebecca will be conducting their usual academic monitoring of students' assessment scores but will not be sending targeted emails. Instead, parents of students on that list will be encouraged to book in parent report meetings with their child's tutor if they haven't done so already.
