WORLD BOOK DAY

Imran, March 5, 2026

Today, we celebrate World Book Day! Although it sometimes may seem that today is about fancy dress costumes rather than books, we would like to encourage our young readers to pick up a new book this week and nurture their good reading habits.

Here are some of the books that our team enjoyed reading when they were children:

Milda - Director, Tutor of English - Ronia, the Robber's Daughter by Astrid Lindgren
Esther - Director of Accounts - Hetty Feather by Jacqueline Wilson
Vivek - Senior Tutor, Lead Tutor of Mathematics - Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne
Hareish - Office Assistant - Gone series by Michael Grant
Kish - Lead English Tutor - The Faraway Tree series by Enid Blyton
Bex - Director of Studies, Lead Tutor of Science and Reasoning - Face by Benjamin Zephaniah
Charlotte - Administrative Assistant - Carbonel by Barbara Sleigh
Imran - Administrative Assistant - Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan
Dilshan - Accounts and Administrative Assistant- Beast Quest: Ferno the Fire Dragon by Adam Blade

To help students explore different authors, styles and genres, as well as help them develop a love of literature, we have compiled a list of twelve book recommendations for each year group from Year 3 to Year 11. The books on the list range from timeless classics to recent releases. As they go through the list, students will become familiar with the work of world-famous writers and meet iconic book characters.
