The start of Year 7 comes with the challenge of transitioning into secondary school for the vast majority of our students. Here, students will face the academic and pastoral demands that come along with this new stage in their education.
In order to support students through this transition, and help them successfully settle into life at secondary school, we offer lessons in the key subjects taught at this stage. These lessons focus on consolidating and enriching topics learned in earlier Key Stages whilst laying a solid foundation for a series of new topics in preparation for the start of the GCSE course in Year 9. Students are offered the opportunity to explore the intricacies of the subject without the immediate pressures of preparing for an exam. These are often students’ formative years where they develop a love for the subjects.
